Weekend Progression Coaches Workshop

Santa Cruz, CA

Nov 21–22, 2026 | Sat – Sun 10 AM – 4 PM

Two days set aside just for you and your team, coaches only. We’ve got something special planned: a two-day progression that levels up both your riding and your coaching.

For each skill, we’ll cover how to teach it, what to do when it isn’t clicking for a rider, and how to tell when someone’s ready for bigger features (plus the steps to get them there). You’ll be working on your own riding the whole way through, so you understand the how, the what, and the why well enough to coach riders at any level.

That matters more than ever. Students are quickly starting to outride their coaches, and this clinic closes that gap.

Expect a good time. Our coaching style is a bit different from the NICA curriculum, with extra time spent riding technical features safely.

What we’ll ride

Day 1: Fundamentals (Intermediate)
We’ll build the must-have fundamentals, the foundation for everything more advanced you’ll do on the trail.

Day 2: Advanced terrain (Intermediate/advanced)
We’ll take those fundamentals onto bigger features:

  • Steeps and roll-downs
  • Corners
  • Drops
  • Jumps
  • Technical climbing

Both days are full-day workshops. Join for both or pick just one. If you’re choosing, Day 1 is the intermediate day and Day 2 is for intermediate/advanced riders ready for more challenging terrain.

What you’ll leave with

Riding skills you can feel improve by the end of the day, and a clearer, more confident way of teaching them to your riders. You’ll head home knowing what to work on in your own riding and how to coach each skill, from first demo to spotting when a rider is ready for more. Plus a clear path to keep growing as a rider and a coach for months after the clinic wraps.
