Mendo Mega Retreat - In partnership with NorCal Interscholastic Cycling League (NICA)
Oct 1–4, 2026 | Thurs – Sun 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
NICA's annual Coach Retreat is back — four days in the redwoods with the people who get exactly why you love doing this. Ride bikes, eat great food, swap stories with other coaches, and pick up some new skills along the way (CPR, First Aid, MTB 101, and more are all on the table if you want them).
This retreat is built to flex around you. Come for the workshops, come for the trails, or just come to hang out — there's no wrong way to do it. The only real agenda is coaches getting to know each other, having fun, and learning from one another's experience coaching interscholastic MTB teams.
Lodging is in shared tent cabins, and your registration covers all food, drinks, MTB 101, and entertainment — including the annual dance party (theme TBD).
Coaches will also have everything they need on-site to work toward their Level 2 Coach License.
Price: $550 USD per person
Registration is handled through our partner, NICA — just click the button below to sign up!

If you haven't ridden Jackson State Forest, you're in for a treat. Fern gullies, massive redwoods, and some of the best loam around — trails for every skill level, from the mellow nature trail along the Little River to classics like Endo, Oh-No, and Boiler.
The Agenda
Check-in: Thursday after 12pm, or Friday morning. If you roll in Thursday and no one's at check-in, just plan on checking in Friday morning instead.
Thursday Arrive at the woodlands anytime after noon and get settled. Once enough folks have checked in, we'll head out for a chill group ride. Bring your own dinner (there's a full kitchen at camp), and we'll wind down with a fireside chat before lights out.
Friday After breakfast, take your pick of activities — CPR, First Aid, MTB 101, and more (more details coming as we get closer). Or skip it all and go ride on your own, or just relax in the redwoods. Each evening brings social hour with entertainment, family-style dinner in the main lodge, and a campfire after.
Saturday Breakfast, then bike ride options, a skills clinic with TrailWorks' Brian Astell, pre-dinner happy hour, dinner, and the post-dinner dance party.
Sunday Morning yoga and meditation, breakfast, one last ride, then pack up and head home with a bag lunch, a full heart, a stack of new coaching skills, some CEUs, new friends, and Mendocino miles in your legs.
